It’s been a week of fever pitch speculation…

And now Coleen Rooney has confirmed she’s expecting her first child.

Writing in her OK! column, the mum-to-be declared: “It’s true – I’m pregnant.”

“It’s the most brilliant news and, along with marrying Wayne, the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”

“Wayne is over the moon and so excited and I just know he’ll be a great dad.”

The 23-year-old, who married Man U star Wayne in a luxurious Italian ceremony last year, said having a baby “is something we both wanted, and we feel incredibly lucky and happy”.

Col also revealed her tot is due in October, and says she expects to continue working throughout the run-up to giving birth.

“We have no idea whether our baby will be a boy or a girl,” she concluded.

Needless to say, we’re dizzy with excitement.

Will the happy couple name their bubba Wayleen, as bookies are already suggesting?

Have they already started designing the nursery?

What type of sizzling Wag maternity gear will Col wear, and will she go to a posh hospital for the birth?
